Actress Kristen Bell Expected to Cameo in Series Finale of ‘Gossip Girl’

While the folks over at The CW and Warner Bros. had no comment, rumor has it (according to the folks over at TV Line) that actress Kristen Bell, who has been the voice of Gossip Girl on the guilty pleasure series of the same name since the debut episode back in September of 2007, will be making a cameo appearance in the two-hour series finale that is set to air on The CW on Monday, December 17.

The series, based on the book series from Alloy Entertainment, originally focused on privileged teenagers at an elite private school in New York and which has continued to follow those characters as they embark on their years after ‘high school’ and beyond. Among the cast members of the series are Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford, Taylor Mumsen, Jessica Szohr, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle.

Among Bell’s TV credits are the acclaimed series ‘Veronica Mars’ and ‘Heroes’. She is also the female lead in the Showtime comedy ‘House of Lies’ and appeared in the recent box office film ‘Hit and Run’.

According to producers the identity of “Gossip Girl” – the “mysterious scoopster” who seems to have insight on every single one of these colorful cast of characters – will be revealed in the final episode. But will the reveal finally put a face to the voice or will be yet another twist from “Gossip Girl” to keep the fans guessing? Make sure to tune in to the series finale on December 17 at 8/7c.

In the meantime, the next new episode of ‘Gossip Girl’, now running out its sixth season, will air on Monday, November 12 at 9/8c on The CW.
