‘Common Law’ Cancelled By USA Network

This past May a new drama debuted on the USA Network. That show was Common Law, which starred actors Michael Ealy (‘Flash Forward’ and ‘Underworld: Awakening’) and Warren Kole (‘The Chicago Code’) as police detectives forced into couples’ therapy by their Captain in order to save their partnership. The series also starred Jack McGee (‘Rescue Me’) and Sonya Walger (‘Lost’).

The debut season of ‘Common Law’ ran throughout the summer, airing its first season finale in August; but now word has come down from the network that the series from the minds of husband and wife writing team Cormac and Marianne Wibberley has come to an end.

As reported by TV Line, the show will not be back for a second season; and while that can be disappointing to the little over 2 million viewers who watched the show each week in the summer, it was inevitable given the less than stellar ratings for the series.
