ABC Gives Full Season Order to ‘Scandal’

The Shonda Rhimes drama Scandal, which is currently in its second season on ABC, just got what every show hopes for: a full season order.

The political-themed drama stars box office star Kerry Washington (‘Ray’ and ‘Fantastic Four’ franchise) as Olivia Pope, a professional “fixer” (aka a crisis management specialist) who can “fix” any problem in Washington, D.C. (and aboard) except her own problems with the current President of the United States as portrayed by Tony Goldwyn (‘Ghost’). The ensemble drama also stars Columbus Short (‘Stomp the Yard’ and ‘Losers’), Darby Stanchfield (‘NCIS’ and ‘Jericho’), Katie Lowes (‘Super 8’), Guillermo Diaz (‘Weeds’), Joshua Malina (‘The West Wing’ and ‘In Plain Sight’) and Bellamy Young (‘Criminal Minds’).

There is no word yet on a decision by ABC regarding their new dramas ‘Nashville’, ‘666 Park Avenue’ or ‘Last Resort’.

‘Scandal’ will air an all-new episode next Thursday, November 8 at 10/9c. (Source: E! News]
