Dylan McDermott Signs On For More ‘American Horror Story’

FX’s American Horror Story will be welcoming actor Dylan McDermott (Dark Blue) back into the fold, The Hollywood Reporter has shared. McDermott appeared in season one as the cheating husband, Ben Harmon, of actress Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights).

The show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, was the one who broke the good news. “So thrilled to announce Dylan McDermott is returning to American Horror Story!” Murphy shared via Twitter. Currently the details surrounding McDermott’s role in the latest chapter, entitled Asylum, are slim, as show runners are keeping things heavily guarded.

McDermott will join a cast line-up of actors Jessica Lange (Big Fish), Zachary Quinto (Heroes), Chloe Sevigny (Big Love), James Cromwell (Boardwalk Empire), Joseph Fiennes (Camelot), Frances Conroy (Six Feet Under), Evan Peters (The Office), Lily Rabe (The Good Wife) and possibly Connie Britton.

Britton has shared that she is interested in reprising her role if she can work it around her commitment to her new freshman series ‘Nashville’. “If we could ever schedule it, I would definitely love to. Ryan and I have talked about it; it’s a little tough shooting a series in Nashville and they’re shooting Horror Story right now. But if we could pull it off, I know we will try to do that,” Britton informed The Hollywood Reporter.

Looks like we could be seeing McDermott and Britton reunite once again after an insane first season together on AHS.
