USA Network Renews ‘Suits’ for Third Season

Cast from Suits

The legal drama Suits has yet to finish its current, second season, but the USA Network is already giving it a renewal for a third season that will consist of 16 episodes.

According to Chris McCumber and Jeff Wachtel, the co-presidents at the USA Network, “quite simply ‘Suits’ is as good as it gets…sophisticated storytelling, sharp dialogue, and award-worthy performances make this show a cornerstone of our original programming lineup”.

The series delves into the fast-paced, high-stakes world of Manhattan corporate law firm Pearson Hardman, centering on legendary law partner Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and his brilliant, but not-technically-legal, associate Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams). Despite his lack of bonafide credentials, Mike’s photographic memory and encyclopedic legal knowledge make him an invaluable asset to Harvey. Other cast members include Rick Hoffman (‘Samantha Who’), Gina Torres (‘Firefly’), Sarah Rafferty (‘Brothers & Sisters’) and Meghan Markle (‘CSI Miami’).

‘Suits’ captured the summer’s coveted spot as the top drama on cable for adults from 18- to 49-years of age and delivered more adults from 25- to 54-years of age for its second season, hitting a season high with its summer finale which drew in 6.5 million total viewers.

‘Suits’ will be back in January on the USA Network for the remainder of its second season (six all-new episodes) sometime this coming January.
