Strike Back Season 2 Finale: It All Comes Down To This [Spoiler Free Advance Review]

strike Back season 2 finale

It has all come down to this final hour of Strike Back‘s second season. In only a few hours we’ll find out the fate of the guys and their team, as well as Knox and his people.

I was able to screen the finale episode early and have quite a few things to say. So hold on tight and let’s jump right into it.

Warning: while there will no spoilers for the finale episode, there are spoilers for the season overall so if you haven’t caught up yet, stop reading now…..the rest of you, keep reading :).

When we last left the team, Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) had been let go from his arrest with Hanson (Shane Taylor), and once again was unable to take revenge on the man who killed his wife. However, that storyline will be wrapped up in the finale in a very Strike Back way. Let’s just say there will be things you expected and things you might not have expected. But overall, it will be satisfying.

Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) on the other hand was going after Bryant (Stephanie Vogt) to try and get her to help them get to Knox. Once again Scott’s past will come to haunt him and for those who have been wanting to find out more about it, there will be a really emotional scene with Scott leading to some reveals, so keep an eye out for that.

When we get back to Knox, he’s still trying to set up another meeting with the Nigerians. And that’s really the trigger for this whole episode and how things end.

It’s really hard to talk about this episode without giving too much away as I don’t want to ruin the experience of watching the finale. So what I’ll do to get you excited is to tease a few highlights from the finale:

– Hanson has a great scene early one that ends with some people cheering

– The 5 to 1 or 0 conversation between Stonebridge and Scott makes a reappearance… more than once!

– Pipes…

– A great Stonebridge/Scott moment at a crucial time

– Expect lots of deaths, some you might like, some you might not like.

– “It’s a good thing there’s two of you.”

And that’s all I can give you for now.

All I can say is that after watching the finale, I was happy to know that Strike Back had been renewed for a third season, because I just can’t get enough of this show. Now to figure out how I’m going to wait until 2013…

Hope you enjoy the finale as much as I did. I’d love to hear what you thought so if you get a chance hit me up in the comments or on twitter @sosandrine. And thanks for being part of our Strike Back day!
