‘The Voice’ Season Four & Five Announced

NBC’s singing competition The Voice will be sticking around for some time to come. The network has announced the pick-up of both seasons four and five. The series that stars CeeLo Green, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera just kicked off their third season with an average viewership of around 12 million per episode for both Mondays and Tuesdays.

Robert Greenblatt, the Chairman of NBC Entertainment, confirmed the double pick-up and spoke about the future of the series that will introduce super talents Usher and Shakira for season four. “This pickup will assure the many dedicated ‘Voice’ fans that this innovative show will continue to bring some of the most talented new voices to the world’s attention through all of next year.” Adding, With the addition of Usher and Shakira as rotating coaches to join Christina, CeeLo, Adam and Blake in the next cycle, we know that this incredibly addictive program will remain even more relevant as we move forward through this exciting season. My hat is off to John de Mol, Mark Burnett, and everyone who produces this classy and highly entertaining show for us.”

Season four of ‘The Voice’ is scheduled to air in the spring with season five slated for a fall 2013 premiere.
