Danielle Alonso Revolution

Last night, on the latest episode of RevolutionChained Heat“, we were introduced to a new character, Nora played by Daniella Alonso, a rebel fighter who has a history with Miles (Billy Burke).

In an exclusive interview, TV Equals had a chance to ask Daniella about her fierce character, what to expect in upcoming episodes and also what she would miss most in case of a power blackout.

Check out what she had to say below and don’t miss her in the next episode of Revolution which airs on Mondays at 10pm on NBC.

What can you tell us about your character Nora? Who is she?

Daniella Alonso: When we meet Nora, it is 15 years after the blackout and she is a rebel fighter. She has a history with Miles so she decides to help him and Charlie on their mission. She has a lot of skills– sword fighting, bomb building, etc.

What other characters from the show will Nora be involved with?

Daniella Alonso: Nora will be involved with Miles, Charlie, Maggie, Nate, Aaron and many others.

What can you tease in terms of storyline for your character this season?

Daniella Alonso: I wish I knew what Nora’s storyline was but each week is a surprise to me! What I can say is that you see her on a mission to help the rebels defeat General Monroe and bring back the United States. However when Miles turns back up in her life her plan gets sidetracked, she decides to help him and Charlie get her brother back from Monroe. She faces many challenges along the way, both physically and emotionally.

The part is very physical. Can you talk about that?

Daniella Alonso: Nora is a kick ass sword fighter so as the episodes progress you will see her sword fighting skills in action. That for me, has been such an amazing experience getting to train with the stunt guys and getting the fights just right!

What has been the most challenging part of being on Revolution so far?

Daniella Alonso: The most challenging part has been trying to shoot in eight days. We have really set a high standard for ourselves and want to deliver each and every week an amazing episode that is not only shot beautifully and acted well, but also has all the action and drama people want to see.

What has been the most fun part of being in Revolution so far?

Daniella Alonso: The most fun part has been being thrust into this world of Revolution. Our sets are the woods of North Carolina for example and it feels so vast and real. Getting to work with such an amazingly talented cast and crew who are all really good at their jobs and all just want to make the best possible show has been the best part. It’s nice to become a part of such a talented giving family. Also, finding and creating Nora in this enviroment is so much fun!

If power was to go out forever like in “Revolution,” what item would you miss the most?

Daniella Alonso: If the power went out I’d miss my phone because it is my lifeline to my family and friends. I don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t talk to them everyday.

If power was to go out forever like in “Revolution,” what’s the one advice you would give people?

Daniella Alonso: It’s funny because we joke on set that if the power did really go out we’d all know what to do now. The advice I’d give is to not panic and to find the strength within to be strong. Grab hold of your loved ones and start working on your camping skills.

If you could guest star on any other show, which one would it be?

Daniella Alonso: If I could guest star on any show it would be The Wire but out of current shows, I’d love to guest on Dexter! I’m obsessed with it.
