Sci-Fi Favorite Amanda Tapping to Appear on ‘Supernatural’

Fans who are missing the recently departed Syfy series ‘Sanctuary’ and primarily its lead actress – Amanda Tapping – fear not; you will get to see her back on TV very soon.

According to TV Line, the very popular actress who got her first big break on TV in the long-running franchise series ‘Stargate: SG-1’ will be showing up on another long-running (and cult-status) series: Supernatural

Tapping will appear as Naomi, who will have a major recurring presence in the show. Show runner Jeremy Carver describes Naomi as “cool and mysterious, part of a new group of angels we’ve never seen before”. It is being said, though, that Naomi is actually less together than she appears. Her manner may be efficient but she has a “deep emotionality”. She will make her first appearance in the 7th episode of the new season.

Besides her time on the aforementioned shows, Tapping also appeared in ‘Stargate: Atlantis’ and ‘Stargate Universe’ and she was the narrator for the online series ‘Riese’. She has also appeared in the direct-to-DVD movies ‘Stargate: The Ark of Truth’, ‘Stargate: Continuum’ and ‘Stargate: Children of the Gods’. Outside of the ‘Stargate’ franchise, she appeared in the made for TV movies ‘Taken Back: Finding Haley’, ‘Earthsea’ and Danielle Steel’s ‘Remembrance’.

‘Supernatural’ will be back for its 8th season on The CW starting on Wednesday, October 3 at 9/8c.
