Battlestar Galactica Hunk Tahmoh Penikett to Guest on New Drama ‘Arrow’

He first made waves with TV viewers on the critically acclaimed reboot of ‘Battlestar Galactica’ and now actor Tahmoh Penikett will be bringing some trouble to Starling City in the new CW drama Arrow.

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Penikett will play Tom Salvati on the DC Comics-based drama. Salvati turns out to be the right-hand man to mob boss Frank Bertinelli (who will be played by actor Jeffrey Nordling), the father of Helena Bertinelli, otherwise known as The Huntress.

Little is known about Penikett’s role or even when he will first appear (as there is a chance this could be more than a one-time appearance); but Helena is expected to appear in the sixth episode of the debut season. It stands to reason that Tom Salvati will show up not too much longer than that.

For those who need a refresher on ‘Arrow’, Stephen Amell (Private Practice) stars as Oliver Queen/Arrow, a hooded vigilante who returns home to Starling City five years after being presumed dead from a boating crash to carry out revenge upon the people who have transformed his hometown from the sprawling city it once was.

Penikett’s other TV credits include ‘Dollhouse’, ‘Smallville’, ‘Haven’, ‘The Killing’ and ‘Castle’. He has also appeared in the made-for-TV movies ‘Riverworld’ and ‘Jabberwock’ as well as the box office horror flick ‘Trick ‘r Treat’.

‘Arrow’ will debut on The CW on Wednesday, October 10 at 8/7c.
