Show Summary: “Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja” is an action-packed, buddy comedy series that follows the fast-paced adventures of unlikely hero Randy Cunningham who, with his super human Ninja suit, the teachings of the ‘NinjaNomicon’ (an 800 year-old Ninja guide) and the help of his best buddy, Howard, finds himself as the one thing protecting his school and the world from certain destruction.

Randy is an average freshman at Norrisville High, with a can-do attitude and a secret identity as a Ninja taking on monsters, madmen and an evil 800-year-old Sorcerer, who was captured and held captive by the original Ninja 800 years ago. To stay alive, the Sorcerer gains strength by using a stinky gas that he sends out to turn students into crazy monsters who then create mayhem at Norrisville High. The Sorcerer’s ultimate goal is to escape from the dungeon and take revenge on the world.

Randy’s loyal best friend, Howard, is the only person who knows of his secret. Howard is supportive of Randy, but sometimes gets irritated whenever Ninja issues get in the way of their high school glory quests.

The Sorcerer’s accomplice, Hannibal McFist, is CEO of McFist Industries and the wealthiest man in Norrisville, who has a bionic arm with a monkey brain inside. McFist has made a deal with the Sorcerer – if he can free him, he will give McFist the only thing he doesn’t possess – an awesome superpower. McFist’s mad scientist side-kick, Willem Viceroy III, runs the lab, building robots and genetically engineered creatures to help McFist capture the Ninja and formulate his plans to free the Sorcerer.

As the sole protector of Norrisville High’s students and faculty, Randy must continue to believe in himself, even if he is sometimes misguided, and to quickly learn the teachings of the ‘NinjaNomicon’ to prevent utter chaos from happening at school. And in the meantime, he and Howard still need to get to science class and learn Spanish too.

At the center of the series’ mythology is the ‘NinjaNomicon,’ written by the original Ninja and handed down from Ninja to Ninja. Randy is able to enter the virtual world inside the ‘NinjaNomicon’ to consult it, train, find Ninja gear and hone his battle skills and knowledge.

The series stars Ben Schwartz (“Parks and Recreation,” “House of Lies”) as Randy Cunningham, Andrew Caldwell (“Transformers,” “Hannah Montana”) as Howard Weinerman, Kevin Michael Richardson (“The Penguins of Madagascar”) as Willem Viceroy III, John DiMaggio (“Futurama”) as Hannibal McFist, Dave Wittenberg (“Stitch!”) as Bash Johnson, Jim Rash (“Community”) as Principal Slimovitz, Tim Curry (“The Rocky Horror Picture Show”) as The Sorcerer, Megan Mullally (“Will & Grace”) as Mrs. Driscoll and John Oliver (“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”) as Coach Green.
