Frances Conroy Is Back For More ‘American Horror Story’

Actress Frances Conroy will be returning for a second season of American Horror Story, EW has confirmed. Creator Ryan Murphy unleashed the exciting news on Twitter with a message for fans. “Thrilled to announce Emmy nominee Frances Conroy is returning to AHS. Devils and angels this year…Frannie plays the ultimate angel.” Any additional details surrounding the veteran performer’s character are slim at best at the moment.

In the second season of ‘American Horror Story’, aptly titled ‘Asylum’, Conroy will appear alongside her returning co-stars Jessica Lange (Big Fish), Zachary Quinto (Star Trek), Evan Peters (In Plain Sight), and Lily Rabe (All Good Things), who all appeared in season one of the series. This season will tackle a storyline that follows the criminally insane patients of Briarcliff Manor and Lange as their evil head lady, Sister Jude. The series is set to debut on FX this coming October.

The Emmy nominated Conroy is best known for her work in ‘Six Feet Under’ as Ruth Fisher. She has also starred in ‘How I Met Your Mother’, ‘United States of Tara’, ‘Scooby Doo! Mystery Incorporated’, the short lived series ‘Happy Town’ as the character Peggy Haplin and ‘Nip/Tuck’ in a guest role. Tell us what you think Conroy fans.
