Sci-Fi Beauty Tricia Helfer is Enrolling at ‘Community’

That slightly-muted squeal you heard over during the latter part of Friday night was none other than fanboys reacting to the announcement that sci-fi beauty Tricia Helfer will be enrolling at Community (well, sort of…).

The news broke late last week via TV Line that Helfer, best known for her role of Number Six on the reimagined ‘Battlestar Galactica’ will guest star in an upcoming episode of the much balleyhooed NBC sitcom. She will play Lauren, a (what else) “drop-dead gorgeous superfan of the “fictional” cult-hit Inspector Spacetime.

After getting her big break in ‘Battlestar Galactica’, Helfer appeared in TV shows like ‘Supernatural, ‘Burn Notice’, ‘Chuck’, ‘Warehouse 13’, ‘Human Target’, ‘Dark Blue’, ‘Lie to Me’, ‘No Ordinary Family’, ‘Franklin & Bash’, ‘Two and a Half Men’, ‘Criminal Minds’ and the short-lived ‘The Firm’. She also appeared in the made-for-TV movies ‘Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of ‘Charlie’s Angels’ and ‘Mistletoe Over Manhattan’.

‘Community’ will return to NBC for its fourth season (senior year!!) on Friday, October 19 in its new timeslot: 8:30/7:30c.
