Robert Sean Leonard and Gloria Reuben to Appear on 'Falling Skies' Next Season

Both ‘House’ alum Robert Sean Leonard and ‘ER’ alum Gloria Reuben will be showing up for a five-episode arc on the hit TNT sci-fi series Falling Skies.

As reported by Deadline, Leonard will play Roger Kadar, a PhD who is a gifted but obsessive scientist. He runs the power grid for the new capital of the United States – Charleston – the city where the resistance, both military and civilian, has collected to survive and fight back against the alien invaders. Kadar lives underground with his pet rats, intriguing the children of “New Charleston” to dub him “The Rat King”.

Leonard, of course, is best known for his eight seasons on the FOX medical drama ‘House’ but he also has a long list of box office roles in films like ‘The Manhattan Project’, ‘Dead Poets Society’, ‘Swing Kids’, ‘Much Ado About Nothing’, ‘The Age of Innocence’ and ‘The Last Days of Disco’.

Reuben, on the other hand, will play Marina Perlata, an aide to Tom Mason (series lead and her former ‘ER’ co-star Noah Wyle), who has been one of the leaders of the resistance whose political knowledge and experience will become very valuable to Tom.

Since her days on ‘ER’, she has appeared in the short-lived legal drama ‘Raising the Bar’, a guest role on ‘Drop Dead Diva’ and several episodes of ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’. She also appeared in two of the most recent ‘Jesse Stone’ made-for-TV movies’.

‘Falling Skies’ was renewed by TNT for a third season even before the show’s second season came to a close and is anticipated to be back next summer.
