CBS Announces Guest Stars for This Fall’s Shows

With the fall season only a few weeks away, CBS has announced a series of guest appearances that will be made on a number of their returning hit shows as well as one of the network’s newcomers.

Among the announcements were the following:

• Music from the Grammy-winning band Green Day will be featured in the fourth episode of CSI: NY in which Lindsay (Anna Belknap) is injured when a political candidate is shot. Action sequences will be narrated by songs from Green Day’s forthcoming albums “¡UNO!, ¡DOS! and ¡TRE!

• In addition, actress Natalie Martinez (‘Detroit 1-8-7’) will have a recurring role on ‘CSI: NY’, playing an NYPD detective who works closely with Flack (Eddie Cahill), but it will become clear that there is considerably more to her than meets the eye, both personally and professionally.

‘CSI: NY’ will be back for its 9th season starting on Friday, September 28 at 8/7c.

• The real-life mothers of NCIS: Los Angeles stars Chris O’Donnell, LL Cool J, Daniela Ruah and Eric Christian Olsen will appear in a fall episode alongside their children. The mothers are flying in from all over the country and world, (Ruah’s mother lives in Portugal) to appear in a scene that was hand-picked by Executive Producer Shane Brennan.

‘NCIS: Los Angeles airs the start of its fourth season on Tuesday, September 25 at 9/8c.

• Over on Person of Interest actor Ken Leung (‘Lost’) will guest star in the season premiere; but details on the character he will play have not been revealed. Meanwhile, actress Margo Martindale (‘Justified’) will appear on the second episode of the series (which is set to air on October 4), playing a woman with ties to Finch’s hacker nemesis/kidnapper, Root (guest star Amy Acker).

‘Person of Interest’ will be back for its sophomore season starting on Thursday, September 27 at 9/8c.

• Then over on the new legal drama Made In Jersey, actress Megalyn Echikunwoke (‘The 4400’) has joined the cast as a series regular, playing Riley Prescott, a second year lawyer at Stark & Rowan (the law firm where the lead character works) and is the daughter of the former U.S. Ambassador to Sweden. She will first appear in the episode slated to air on October 5.

‘Made In Jersey’ is set to debut on Friday, September 28 at 9/8c.

• Lastly over on Blue Bloods, actor Sebastian Sozzi (‘My Generation’) will recur as Vinny Cruz, Jamie Reagan’s (Will Estes) new partner, a fast-talking, charismatic cop from one of the toughest precincts in the city. He will first appear in the episode slated to air on October 5. Also, actor Michael Madsen (‘Kill Bill’) will guest star in the same episode as John, a professional criminal just released from prison who is determined to get his revenge on Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg), the man who arrested him and ruined his life.

‘Blue Bloods’ starts its third season on Friday, September 28 at 10/9c.
