‘Anger Management’ Could Get 90 Episode Pick Up, Martin Sheen Slated To Guest Star

Charlie Sheen’s new comedy vehicle Anger Management on FX has just began and after only six episodes it looks like the network may secure a deal with the former ‘Two and a Half Men’ star, picking up 90 episodes.

According to Deadline, FX’s general manager, John Landgraf, has plans to air the first 10 episodes of season one before confirming the renewal. “Up until now, it has given us every indication that it will earn that 90 episode season order … the odds are overwhelming”, he shared. Adding, “I am happy creatively with the show,” he said. “As with any comedy, I think it’s got more growth in it creatively, I think it’s still developing, but generally speaking, I’m real happy.”

Aside from Anger Management’s success in the ratings, the show will also welcome actor Martin Sheen to the series in a guest role. “We figured he should be in this too,” Charlie Sheen shared stated about his father’s scheduled guest appearance. “We loved it and shot it,” Charlie said about Martin’s character. “I think it is the best episode we did. He brings a whole new energy.” Martin Sheen will show up in the tenth episode of Anger Management‘s freshman season with plans to return sometime in the future.
