More Newcomers are Joining the Cast of ‘Glee’

Glee Cast

Last week we reported that two new guys would be joining the cast of Glee when the musicomedy returns to FOX for its fourth season. And now, it’s the girls turn.

According to a report at TV Line, newcomer Becca Tobin and actress Melissa Benoist (‘Homeland’) will be playing the recurring roles of Kitty and Marley (respectively), new McKinley High School students.

Much like most of the original cast members of ‘Glee’, Becca is a virtual newcomer with no other TV credits to her name while Melissa has appeared in episodes of ‘The Good Wife’, ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’, ‘Blue Bloods’ and ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’.

As TV viewers will recall, a good portion of the existing characters on the show graduated in the season finale this past May, and not all of them will be returning to the fold, which means the “juniors”, which includes Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), Artie (Kevin McHale) and Blaine (Darren Criss) [among others] as well as the newcomers will be getting most, if not all, of the limelight.

‘Glee’ will be back for its fourth season on FOX starting on Thursday, September 13.
