Bourne Actress Franka Potente Joins ‘American Horror Story’

Actress Franka Potente of ‘Bourne Identity’ fame has joined FX’s breakout thriller American Horror Story according to reports just released from TV Line. Potente is slated to appear in the second season of the Ryan Murphy created series as a “mysterious patient of the facility.” She will appear in two episodes of the New Year that will return back in time to the 1960’s with the storyline set to explore the east coast insane asylum.

Joining the ‘Copper’ actress is Chloe Sevigny (American Psycho), Lizzie Brocheré (One To Another), Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love), James Cromwell (L.A. Confidential), Jenna Dewan (Step Up), Chris Zylka (The Amazing Spider-Man) and more.

Over the years Franka has appeared in the TV mini-series ‘The Sinking of Laconia’, ‘Pysch’ on the USA Network, ‘Small Lights’, ‘House M.D.’, ‘The Bridge’, ‘Manhunt’, ‘Eichman’, the TV series ‘The Shield’, and the short film ‘Le mar’. The two time Bourne star has also graced the screen in ‘Try Seventeen’, ‘The Elementary Particles’, ‘Creep’, ‘I Love Your Work’, and ‘Romulus, My Father’.
