‘Saving Hope’ Season 2 To Air On Canadian TV

While the new medical series Saving Hope may not have resonated with U.S. fans, the show did extremely well among Canadian viewers, allowing a second season pick up for the series according to The Hollywood Reporter. The NBC drama has received an order for an additional 13 episodes and is set to air on CTV. meanwhile fans in the United States are still awaiting word on whether or not they will be able to tune into their favorite series next year.

For the unknown who may have missed this little gem with Smallville’s former leading lady Erica Durance and actor Michael Shanks, the series follows a chief of surgery (played by Shanks) “whose sudden illness left the medical facility in chaos, and his doctor wife (Durance) in shock.”

Declared one of the top series to watch for Canadian viewers this summer, here’s what Saving Hope’s executive producer had to say. “We’re excited that Canadian audiences have responded to Saving Hope with such enthusiasm,” shared Ilana Frank of Ilana C Frank Films, who is the creator behind the Canadian drama.
