Alcatraz Alum Sarah Jones Moving to ‘Vegas’

Actress Sarah Jones appeared in the short-lived J.J. Abrams drama ‘Alcatraz’ and now she’ll be moving over to the new CBS drama Vegas that will debut this fall. The series stars Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis in a story inspired by the true story of former Las Vegas Sheriff Ralph Lamb (Quaid), a fourth generation rancher who is tasked with bringing order to Las Vegas circa the 1960s. Lamb clashes with a ruthless Chicago gangster, Vincent Savino (Chiklis), who plays to make Vegas his own.

According to Deadline, Jones will play “the smart, fiery daughter of one of Chicago’s most powerful men who works in the casino running the skim. Together with Savino they’ll devise ingenuous ways to get the cash back to Chicago”.

Besides her work on ‘Alcatraz’, Jones has appeared in ‘Sons of Anarchy’, ‘Big Love’, the short-lived series ‘The Wedding Bells’ and the Hallmark Channel movies ‘Love Takes Wing’ and ‘Love Finds a Home’.

‘Vegas’ also co-stars Carrie Ann Moss (of ‘Matrix’ fame) and Jason O’Mara (from ‘Terra Nova’) and will debut this fall on CBS on September 25 at 10/9c.
