Actor Chord Overstreet is Back as Series Regular on ‘Glee’

He was out but now he’s back – actor Chord Overstreet will be back as a series regular on the FOX musicomedy Glee this fall when the series returns for is fourth season.

The folks behind the scenes of ‘Glee’ angered fans by not picking up Chord’s option to be a series regular last season and the actor turned down an invitation to recur for the show’s then current season in lieu of pursuing his own musical career. But, after a short run on the ABC comedy ‘The Middle’, he returned to McKinley High School, the fictional rural Ohio high school where ‘Glee’ takes place, as Sam Evans.

Now with a number of the cast members’ characters having graduated and moving on with their lives (so to speak), ‘Glee’ is in need of new and old faces to replenish its ranks. As we reported here, the musical dramedy has added Dean Geyer and Jacob Artist as the newcomers and has now brought back Chord to the fold.

‘Glee’ will return to FOX for its fourth season on Thursday, September 13 at 9/8c. [Source: TV Line]
