Who Wants to See a Breaking Bad Saul Goodman Spin-Off?

Accordingly to Entertainment Weekly, Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan is interested in the idea of a spin-off surrounding everyone’s favorite two-bit lawyer, Saul Goodman. “I would love to see a Saul Goodman spin-off show when it’s all said and done,” Gilligan said. Before you get yourself too excited over the possibility, Gilligan cautions that Saul may not make it through the final season(s?): “No viewer should breathe a sigh of relief that Saul won’t expire by the end of Breaking Bad.”

In addition to trying to temper our excitement for the Saul spin-off, Gilligan pours cold water all over the Breaking Bad movie idea Bryan Cranston floated recently: “I don’t know how to do that at this point. I learned a long time ago to never say never, but I am working really hard to wrap up this story in these final 16 episodes.” I guess the Breaking Bad movie idea is in trouble. Sounds like there is only one thing to do:

Better call Saul.

Breaking Bad airs Sundays on AMC at 10 PM.
