Will ‘Pushing Daisies’ Make It to the Great White Way?

Pushing Daisies

Last week TV writer/series creator Bryan Fuller was featured in a panel at Comic Con 2012 where he talked about his new, upcoming projects ‘Mockingbird Lane’ and ‘Hannibal’; but he also intrigued fans with cryptic news about the much beloved TV series Pushing Daisies for which he created and that aired for a limited time during 2007 and 2008 season and then for its final four episodes in 2009.

Now it looks like that, according to TV Line, ‘Pushing Daisies’ could be getting a second chance on Broadway. Fuller shared that “perhaps” the fantasy series about a lovable pie maker (portrayed by actor Lee Pace) with the ability to bring the dead back to life with a single touch could be hitting the great white way. “We’re working on something that is definitely a Pushing Daisies revival, and the idea would be to have as many cast [members] as we can to participate in it”.

Bringing the show to live on the stage may not be as easy as it sounds, especially given how busy the cast of the series are with other projects; but the series certainly was colorful and musical enough to give it a chance. It’s too early to tell if ‘Pushing Daisies’ will make it there, but it sure gives the fans something to anticipate.
