Franklin & Bash “Summer Girls” Review – Let’s Hear it For The Girls

Franklin & Bash Summer Girls Season 2 Episode 7

In this episode of Franklin & Bash, called “Summer Girls,” the boys are recruited by a couple of petty officers who were accused of beating up a couple of Navy guys in a bar. The military doesn’t take stuff like that lightly and the women may lose their chances at moving up in their careers. Seems like a pretty easy case once Franklin & Bash decide to claim that everyone involved were equal combatants, but when is it ever quite that easy for Peter and Jared? After a few setbacks though, the boys use the ladies’ own captain to help them out, after they discover that it was she who sent the men to beat up the petty officers – hoping it would teach them a lesson about how women are supposedly not tough enough for the front lines.

Meanwhile, Karp is having some lady troubles of his own when it turns out he knows one of the summer associates. Alissa worked in a strip club he went to once-ish. The two are totally attracted to each other and even take part in a little hanky panky in her car, but just when I thought that we were going to have to suffer through her working at the firm while Karp could only make puppy dog eyes at her, she quits to work for another firm. I thought that was really sweet of her and I’m happy that Karp has found someone. Between her comments about how he made sure his guests behaved at the club, plus insisting that a male associate text him after taking a female associate home, I’m starting to see him less as a hardass and more of a gentleman.

Pindar and Infeld’s whole story with the knife and the arrest was pretty hilarious, too. I think you can basically put Pindar in any situation and with any other character on the show and he will do something hysterical. This episode was no different.

My favorite bits..

The boys calling Karp “Karpal Tunnel.”

Knowing that Infeld was in fact behind the whole party idea.

“Stare much, Creepy?”

“They assaulted you?”
“They wish. We laid them out.”

The boys being very proud to be known as the best barroom brawl defense lawyers in town.

“I enjoy encased meats…if I know exactly what’s in them.”

Cracking up at the fact that I knew more about military law than Franklin & Bash apparently do. Sure it’s from watching NCIS, but still.

“Did I hit him?”
“Nope.”

Wanting to say something snarky about the boys’ skills on the shooting range, but stopping myself as I’d probably be shooting the civilian cut-outs and calling them “zombies” too.

“Thank you Commander Suck It.”

Infeld’s “Heavens to Betsy” while watching the fight. When was the last time anyone heard that one?

“Oh how cute, you’re going to smell good for them.”

Karp claiming that he usually shows a lot more abs. LOL. Personally I thought his abs looked just fine. Just sayin’.

The look on Karp’s face when Alissa said she was going to look into family law at Infeld Daniels. Poor guy.

“And that’s more than the jagoff…icer had.” – Hahaha! Brilliant.

Pindar arguing with his GPS. I would laugh, except I’ve totally done that, too.

Pindar getting pulled over for going too slow. Yep, that sounds about right.

Pindar fainting when the officer pulled his weapon. Yep, that sounds about right, too.

“What? No. There are things moving around in this guy’s hair right now.”

“Yeah, her jib rocks.”

The look on Karp’s face when Infeld said that Alissa looked familiar. Haha!

Alissa admitting to Karp she took a lesser paying job for him. Aw.
