‘Total Blackout’ Season 2 Announced

SyFy has announced the renewal of the competition series Total Blackout. The show will enter into its second season on the supernatural network with 16 new episodes on tap as confirmed by Deadline. The new game show, that is hosted by Jaleel White (Family Matters), is the creation of Henrek Nielsen (Can You Duet?).

In the competition contestants must figure out what an object is in the dark, using their nose, hands and mouth after being plunged into total blackness. Who ever can figure out what they are touching or tasting wins the prize money of $5,000.00. Typically there are four teams in each episode with one player per ‘Total Blackout’ team.

The series comes from FreemantleMedia North America and will debut the second season starting November 13th with the first eight episode set to hit the air. The remaining 8 episodes will most likely resume after the holiday season on the SyFy Network. The series renewal comes after the show was launched back in April and managed to score 1.33 million total viewers in its big debut.
