‘Rookie Blue’ Renewed for Fourth Season

ABC and Global Television announced today the renewal of the popular Canadian drama series Rookie Blue for a fourth season.

‘Rookie Blue’ takes a candid look at the personal and professional lives of five rookie cops as they navigate their first years on the beat. The series stars Missy Peregrym (‘Heroes’ and ‘Reaper’), Gregory Smith (‘Everwood’), Charlotte Sullivan (‘The Kennedys’), Enuka Okuma (’24’), Travis Milne (‘Leslie, My Name is Evil’), Peter Mooney (‘Camelot’) and Ben Bass (‘The Eleventh Hour’)

The police drama is now in its third season and the rookies have learned to overcome the sophomore curse — that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. With a little more experience under their belts, they’re starting to realize that not only is the uniform shaping their professional identity, but it has also started to mold them as people. How can they stay true to themselves, maintaining their individuality and compassion, along the way?

‘Rookie Blue’ is executive-produced by award-winning Tassie Cameron (‘Flashpoint’), Ilana Frank (‘The Eleventh Hour’), David Wellington (‘The Eleventh Hour’) and John Morayniss.

The fourth season of ‘Rookie Blue’ is currently in development and will move into production in Toronto later this summer. Right now, though, fans can tune in for the show’s next new episode this Thursday, June 28 at 10/9c on ABC.
