A Breaking Bad Movie? Bryan Cranston Says Maybe June 18, 2012 A Breaking Bad movie? Oh Bryan Cranston, don’t tease us so. When Vince Gilligan reached a deal with AMC to produce 16 more episodes, he originally told Cranston that he “couldn’t imagine having enough story to fill 16 more episodes.” Now? Well, according to Cranston and the LA Times, “Vince feels that now we have too much story.” This surplus of story lines leads the general public to one logical conclusion: A Breaking Bad movie. How does Cranston feel about the possibility? “I wouldn’t mind visiting that possibility. And this is coming from a guy who doesn’t know anything of how the show’s going to end. If it doesn’t end up in a total apocalypse, who knows? Maybe we could revisit Walter White a year down the road and see where his life has gone. If he’s still alive, that is.” There’s the kicker: If he is alive. Given the direction that this series has gone since its premiere, it seems like Walter White has to die before these 16 episodes are up. Could Gilligan craft the 16 episodes in a way where Walter White doesn’t die, and the ending seems credible? I certainly wouldn’t put it past Gilligan. He’s put together some truly amazing television for the past four years. What does everyone else think? Would you go see a Breaking Bad movie?
