FX To Air ‘Louis C.K.’ Standup Special


The FX Network has decided they will air Louis C.K.’s recent standup special on May 12th at 10 PM est. The one hour special is entitled Louis C.K. Live At the Beacon Theatre and was previously released on the comedian’s website back in December of 2011.

Within 11 days of the release, the stand up event raised $1 million in sales, with a large amount donated to charity. The Beacon Theatre special was written, directed and executive produced by the FX star himself, with the help of Dave Becky and M. Blair Breard. The special is produced by Pig Newton, Inc.

On top of Louis’ special, the actor will also return in his series ‘Louie’ on June 28th on FX. The network has ordered 13 episodes of the comedy’s third season. TIME Magazine has declared the series the best television show of 2011.

Over the years Louis C.K has to appeared in 2009’s ‘Just for Laughs’, ‘Saturday Night Live’, ‘Cedric the Entertainer Presents’, ‘Late Night with Conan O’Brien’, ‘Pulp Comics: Louis C.K.’s Filthy Stupid Talent Show’, and ‘The Chris Rock Show’. He is also best known for ‘Pootie Tang’, ‘Tomorrow Night’, as well as the short video ‘Ice Cream’. Will you be tuning in to Louis’ special?
