Big Love Actress Chloe Sevigny to Join Second Season of ‘American Horror Story’

Word broke yesterday that actress Chloe Sevigny, best known for her role on the HBO drama ‘Big Love’, was in negotiations to join the second season cast of the much anticipated return of the controversial FX series American Horror Story.

It seems the rumor is true, as the folks over at The Wrap announced this afternoon that the network confirmed the casting.

Sevigny will play Shelly the Nymphomaniac, who is said to be a bitter rival of the new character to be played by returning cast member Jessica Lange. It is said taht the two characters will “butt heads” in the mental institution where the groundbreaking show will be set for season two. It is said that
the writers of ‘American Horror Story’ created this role with Sevigny in mind.

Prior to her work on ‘Big Love’, Sevigny appeared in the box office films ‘Boys Don’t Cry’, ‘American Psycho’, ‘Shattered Glass’ and ‘Zodiac’.

‘American Horror Story’ will go back into production this summer with an anticipated return this fall on FX.
