Mary Tyler Moore and Valerie Harper, two of television’s most beloved stars, reunite as their popular alter egos, Mary Richards and Rhoda Morgenstern. Mary (Moore) finds herself single after the death of her husband and Rhoda (Harper) is in the same boat after her divorce. Now both single with college-age daughters, they’re taking on New York City and the daunting challenges of motherhood and finding new careers at a difficult time to be on their own. However, they are still our favorite “Mare” and Rhoda, learning to trust their instincts about life and each other – once again – with that distinctive sense of class and humor.
