‘Bones’ Season 8 Announced

The popular, long-running drama Bones will be returning for the remainder of its current season on Monday, April 2 and now fans of the series that stars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel can rejoice in the fact that FOX has renewed the show for an eighth season, a season that will allow the show to celebrate its 150th episode.

Kevin Reilly, the President of Entertainment at FOX, stated today that “over the past seven seasons, Hart Hanson, Stephen Nathan and the incredible ‘Bones’ cast and crew have redefined the traditional crime procedural with an irreverent and adventurous sensibility and I’m really happy to have this distinctive, fan-favorite on our schedule for another season”.

When ‘Bones’ returns to FOX next week, seven all-new episodes are set to air uninterrupted, starting with the highly-anticipated birth of Booth and Brennan’s baby.

For those who need a refresher, ‘Bones’ is a darkly amusing procedural centered on a highly skilled forensic anthropologist (Deschanel) who can read clues left behind in victims’ bones and an FBI agent, Seeley Booth (Boreanaz). These unlikely partners take on homicide cases involving human remains that most forensic specialists can’t handle. The cast of ‘Bones’ also includes TJ Thyne, Michaela Conlin, Tamara Taylor and John Francis Daley.

Again, the spring return of ‘Bones’ will happen on FOX on Monday, April 2 at 9/8c.
