Oscar Winner Whoopi Goldberg to Guest on ‘Glee’ March 27, 2012 Glee, News According to a report at TV Line, Oscar winning actress Whoopi Goldberg will be guesting in a crucial multi-episode arc on the FOX musicomedy Glee. She will play Carmen Tibideaux, a theatrical grande dame and a professor at New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts (NYADA) who travels to Ohio to preside over Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) and Rachel’s (Lea Michele) auditions. She will then stick around for roughly three episodes. Her first appearance will be in the May 1 episode. As movie goers know, Goldberg has appeared in the box office films ‘The Color Purple’, ‘Ghost’, ‘Sister Act’, ‘Ghost of Mississippi’ and ‘Madea Goes to Jail’. Among her TV appearances are her co-hosting duties on ‘The View’ as well as guest appearances on ‘Bagdad Cafe’, ‘The Cleaner’, ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ and ‘Strong Medicine’. ‘Glee’ will be back with its spring premiere on Tuesday, April 10 at 8/7c on FOX.
