FX has ordered a fourth season of its Emmy Award-winning hit series Justified, which will consist of 13 episodes. As most know, the series is based on the popular character – Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) – created by legendary novelist Elmore Leonard from his short story “Fire in the Hole” and was developed for television by Graham Yost.

“Justified is one of television’s best series and this season has reinforced that excellence,” said Nick Grad, FX Executive Vice President of Original Programming. “Graham Yost and his writing team continue to deliver compelling material and richly drawn characters brought to life by the brilliance of Timothy Olyphant and our terrific ensemble cast. Their work is validated by universal acclaim, awards, and ratings that have grown every year. We look forward to many more seasons to come.”

The series co-stars Walton Goggins, Nick Searcy, Jacob Pitts, Erica Tazel, Joelle Carter and Natalie Zea; and this season has introduced Neal McDonough and Mykelti Williamson as the nemeses. And, the series has averaged 4.3 million viewers, which is an 8% boost since last season.

There are still six new episodes remaining in the current third season of ‘Justified’ with an all new episode airing tonight at 10/9c on FX.
