Ringer “P.S. You’re An Idiot” Review

Ringer P.S. You're An Idiot Episode 15 (6)

“P.S. You’re an Idiot” is probably the best title of a Ringer episode to date, and one that sums up my feelings about this show completely. Ringer is so over the top that it even makes the good cheesy drama less good and completely horrible.

This week, Siobhan is back in Paris and freaking out over who her baby daddy may be. She believes it’s Henry, but conception date shows that it may be Andrew… and which is the lesser of two evils? Husband or lover? To add to that soap opera, Siobhan is having twins! Hopefully they’ll grow up in a completely different way that Bridge and Siobhan did.

Malcolm does some more digging into Andrew’s firm and discovers that Olivia is working with some sort of computer program that makes the finance companies return seem larger than they actually are. Don’t waste time trying to figure out how this works – it’s all very technical and above our heads.

When Siobhan confronts Andrew about Olivia’s scheming ways, Andrew comes clean and tells her that it is actually his idea. Maybe Andrew isn’t the great guy that we’ve all thought he was?

While he may be scheming his company, he’s not lacking in the romantic department. Over a movie night, he proposes (again) to Bridget with a candy ring. He wants to renew their vows, thinking that new improved Siobhan is actually his wife, not her twin sister. To Bridget’s credit, she wants to tell him the truth, but decides (rightly so) so that probably isn’t the best idea in the world. So… it looks like Bridget is going to marry Siobhan’s husband, even though Siobhan isn’t really dead and technically they’re still married.

Cut to Juliet’s crazed story line and her insane mother Catherine. Mr. Carpenter is now a suspect in Tessa’s (who is still in a coma, by the way) beating and for some reason he thinks this is the perfect time to make threatening phone calls to Juliet. You know, the other girl that accused him of sexual assault.

Mommy Catherine takes care of Mr. Carpenter but not before the Ringer writers make the show a little more dramatic and far fetched… Naturally Carpenter and Catherine are sleeping together. And naturally Carpenter leaves a suitcase full of money laying out on his hotel room bed while he goes to shower. And naturally, Catherine takes the money and runs.

Oh, Ringer. You’re so full of drama and so over the top that I can’t help but hang on a little longer.
