Actor Matthew Perry has been nominated for an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for his role on the long-running and popular comedy ‘Friends’, but now he’ll be stretching his acting chops by appearing in a recurring role on the drama The Good Wife.

He will play Mike, an extremely charming Chicago attorney tasked with heading up a blue-ribbon panel that’s investigating a suspicious police shooting. When Alicia (Julianna Margulies) is assigned to be on the panel, she begins to question the actions he is taking as the chairman.

Perry’s first episode will air on Sunday, March 25 on CBS at 9/8c.

Besides his work on ‘Friends’, Perry recently starred in the short-lived comedy ‘Mr. Sunshine’ and the box office films ’17 Again’, ‘The Whole Nine Yards’ and ‘Fools Rush In’.

‘The Good Wife’ is one of television’s most critically acclaimed dramas, receiving nine 2011 Primetime Emmy nominations. The drama has won or been nominated for multiple awards, including the Peabody Awards, the Golden Globe Awards, the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the People’s Choice Awards.
