Actress Kelli Williams Promoted to Series Regular on ‘Army Wives’

Last October, actress Kelli Williams, best known for her roles on ‘The Practice’ and ‘Lie to Me’, was cast in a recurring role on the popular Lifetime military drama Army Wives. Now comes word from Deadline that Williams has been promoted to a series regular even before ‘Army Wives’ returns for its sixth season.

Williams will play Jacqueline “Jackie” Clarke, the ambitious wife of 2-star Major General Kevin Clarke. Her character is well-educated, born into a well-to-do, politically connected family and was named after Jacqueline Kennedy, a family friend.

Besides her aforementioned TV roles, Williams has appeared in the short-lived series ‘Medical Investigation’ as well as ‘Men in Trees’ and the made-for-TV movies ‘A Boyfriend for Christmas’ and ‘Sweetwater’.

‘Army Wives’ will air its season premiere on Lifetime on March 4 at 9/8c.
