Actress Kelli Williams Promoted to Series Regular on ‘Army Wives’ February 14, 2012 Army Wives, News Last October, actress Kelli Williams, best known for her roles on ‘The Practice’ and ‘Lie to Me’, was cast in a recurring role on the popular Lifetime military drama Army Wives. Now comes word from Deadline that Williams has been promoted to a series regular even before ‘Army Wives’ returns for its sixth season. Williams will play Jacqueline “Jackie” Clarke, the ambitious wife of 2-star Major General Kevin Clarke. Her character is well-educated, born into a well-to-do, politically connected family and was named after Jacqueline Kennedy, a family friend. Besides her aforementioned TV roles, Williams has appeared in the short-lived series ‘Medical Investigation’ as well as ‘Men in Trees’ and the made-for-TV movies ‘A Boyfriend for Christmas’ and ‘Sweetwater’. ‘Army Wives’ will air its season premiere on Lifetime on March 4 at 9/8c.
