HBO Drama ‘Treme’ Being Held Back Until Fall

Fans of the critically-acclaimed, but under-watched drama series Treme will have to wait a little longer for the show to return for its third season. The series – about the residents of New Orleans, including musicians, chefs, Mardi Gras Indians (etc.) started off three months after Hurricane Katrina as they began to rebuild their lives, their homes and their unique culture in the aftermath of the 2005 hurricane – was to return this April but will now be back this fall.

According to TV Guide, there was no reason given for the wait, but the good news is the show is returning; just later than expected. And, given the fact HBO cancelled several original series such as ‘Hung’, ‘Bored to Death’ and ‘Make It in America’ it is a relief for fans to have the show returning even if it is delayed.

The 10-episode third season of ‘Treme’ is currently in production.
