Homeland Actress Morena Baccarin Will Return To ‘The Mentalist’

TV Guide is reporting the news that Homeland star Morena Baccarin will be making her way back to The Mentalist. Baccarin, who is also known to ‘V’ fans as Anna, will be reprising her role as Erica Flynn, a matchmaker and con artist, who will attempt to go toe to toe with Simon Baker. Baccarin’s Flynn, as fans will remember, previously accused Simon’s Patrick Jane of having feelings for her before he sends the swindler to jail for murder.

Sounds like things will be heating up when Baccarin’s alter ego finds her way out of the slammer, and is running loose. The cast and crew are reportedly shooting the episode now, with plans to air the actress’ guest role sometime in the coming months.

Morena Baccarin’s on screen credits include ‘The Deep End’, where she appeared as the guest character Beth Bancroft. She has also showed up in ‘Medium’, ‘Numb3rs’, ‘Dirt’, ‘Heartland’, ‘Stargate SG-1’, the drama series ‘Las Vegas’, ‘Kitchen Confidential’, ‘The O.C.’ as Maya Griffin, ‘Justice League’ as the superhero Black Canary, ‘Justice’ and ‘How I Met Your Mother’. Baccarin is best known for her long running stints in the TV series ‘Firefly’ in the role of Inara Serra, and Maggie Jones of ‘Still Life’.
