Singer Harry Connick Jr. To Guest Star On ‘Law and Order: SVU’

Well known singer Harry Connick Jr. has signed on to appear in a multi-episode arc on NBC’s Law and Order: SVU. The forty-four year old entertainer has been tapped to appear as Executive ADA David Haden, who is described as a “dedicated, straight-shooting prosecutor.” Paired up on a case with Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay), Connick Jr.’s alter ego is said to clash with the show’s leading lady, until the two find themselves romantically connecting.

Excited about sharing the screen with the Just The Way You Are crooner, Hargitay called Connick’s role on ‘Law and Order: SVU’ a “home run on so many levels. The show is very fortunate to have Harry’s extraordinary talent, and I’m lucky because I get to work with my friend. I think Olivia couldn’t have asked for a better companion to take her through a new stage in her life and career.”

Harry Connick Jr. is scheduled to appear first in SVU’s January 18th episode. Over the years, the performer, who is currently starring in the Broadway musical ‘On a Clear Day You Can See Forever’, has taken home three Grammy Awards during his career to date, as well as a Tony Award. He has appeared in ‘Will & Grace’ as the recurring character Leo Markus, the movie ‘P.S. I Love You’, ‘Bug’, ‘New in Town’, ‘Dolphin Tale’, and more.
