ABC’s ‘Man Up’ Pulled From Line-Up

The ABC network has reportedly put its freshman comedy Man Up on hold for the time being, according to EW. Filling the empty time slot, NBC has placed repeat episodes of seasoned actor Tim Allen’s (Tool Time) ‘Last Man Standing’ to air on Tuesdays instead.

Per the news outlet, ‘Man Up’ wasn’t pulling in the ratings as expected, causing the network to shelf the series that followed three guys all looking to connect with their “inner tough guy,” and redefine what it means to be a “real man.”

The series, from creator and actor Christopher Moynihan (Coupling, 100 Questions), stars Mather Zickel (The Cape, Delocated) Dan Fogler (Robot Chicken, Atom TV), and Moynihan himself. The show did recently manage to draw in 8.8 million viewers, but that success wasn’t enough overall to give ‘Man Up’ a permanent spot on ABC’s lineup.

The network now plans to air the remainder of the new episodes at some point, although a firm date was not given, and did officially add that the show hasn’t been canceled…yet.

What do you think of ‘Man Up’ being shelved? Will show runners make some changes and return to the air with a fresh start? Or is this really the end?
