Syfy Does The Holidays with Eureka, Warehouse 13 and Haven [Review]

syfy christmas episodes 2011
In the mood for the Holidays, well then you better tune in to Syfy tonight because it’s a trifecta of Christmas specials starting with Eureka at 8pm, followed by Warehouse 13 at 9pm and ending with Haven at 10pm.

And if you’re not caught up on the shows yet, that’s no problem because each episode is separate from the main story lines of each show. So let’s find out what you can expect from each episode.

If you were a fan of Community‘s animated Christmas episode, then chances are you’re going to love this episode of Eureka.

In “Do You See What I See,” Sheriff Carter (Colin Ferguson) and Allison (Salli Richardson-Whitfield) are preparing a secret Holiday surprise for their kids, when a mysterious kaleidoscopic wave of color crashes over Eureka and turns everyone into animated versions of themselves. You can imagine how freaked out Carter is by all this!

This episode is pure fun! From computer animated versions of the character, to Hanna-Barbera looking cartoons, to clay animation, to finally manga cartoons, there is something to exciting for everyone. I personally loved the Hanna-Barbera cartoons better because of Sheriff Carter’s car… you’ll find out what I mean when you watch the episode. Oh and I also enjoyed the clay animation because of Taggart’s appearance as a … well I can’t tell you, it would spoil the surprise, but it’s pretty fun.

Definitely a wonderful Christmas episode of Eureka that is guaranteed to put you in the mood for the Holidays.

Warehouse 13

What if Pete had never been born? Well, you’re about to find out what would have happened when an artifact propels him in a Pete-less world in “The Greatest Gift.”

Now Pete has to track down the Warehouse team and convince them to help him get things back to normal, which as you can guess leads to some really hilarious scenes, including one of Claudia, who was never brought to the Warehouse and is still holding a grudge against Artie.

In addition, this episode doesn’t lack any of the banter we have come to love and is a great follow up to Eureka, guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

If you are a fan of Haven, then you already know that it is a little darker than Eureka or Warehouse 13 and that darkness starts you right off with a pretty shocking scene.

In “Silent Night,” everyone is getting ready for Christmas even though Audrey seems to be the only one to find it strange given that it’s July! Soon townspeople start disappearing and Audrey has to find a way to stop it all before it’s too late.

While it is a Christmas episode, I should warn you this Haven episode is not as cheery as the Eureka or Warehouse 13 episodes. But if are a fan of the show, then you will be happy to know that Audrey is once again dealing with a troubled person.

Overall, I am really happy Syfy decided to do some more Holiday episodes for their shows this year, there is nothing like these to put you in a happy mood. So don’t miss any of them tonight, December 6th, starting at 8pm.
