SOUTH PARK Renewed Through Season 20

Comedy Central has inked a deal with the creators behind SOUTH PARK, extending the animated series well into 2016, and bringing the show into its twentieth season.

Announcing the news, Comedy Central’s President, Michelle Ganeless, issued a statement about the Trey Parker and Matt Stone creation that first debuted more than ten years ago, back in 1997.

“The collective genius of Matt and Trey knows no bounds,” Ganeless shared regarding the good news. “Week after week and season after season they continue to surprise and delight ‘South Park’ fans, and that includes all of us here at Comedy central. We’re thrilled that the adventures of Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman will continue through 2016.”

Meanwhile, Parker and Stone also shared their happiness over continuing to write, direct, and edit the long running South Park. “Comedy Central has been our home for 15 years and we love working there,” said Parker and Stone. “South Park is a blast and we can’t wait to make more.”

The thirty minute comedy, that follows the wacky and crazy misadventures of the fresh and feisty Colorado grade schoolers, airs on Comedy Central Thursdays at 10pm est. Are you ready for more of Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman’s hilarious storylines?
