Mouthful of Diamonds

Actor James Lafferty has been confirmed for the final episode of ONE TREE HILL, TV Line has shared. Lafferty, who plays Nathan Scott in the show, will only be making a handful of appearances in One Tree Hill’s last season, since his usual full-time gig was reduced due to his other commitments.

Shooting all of his scenes over this summer in a four-week window, Lafferty’s appearance in the finale was unclear up until now. With the One Tree Hill cast and crew set the film those sure to be sad scenes in November, the actor has officially struck a deal with the studio, and will be returning to bid farewell to his character on the CW series. Lafferty’s return isn’t the only announcement made recently. Long time character Lucas Scott, played by Chad Michael Murray, will also be returning this season.

Attached to the movie Lost on Purpose, and Sam, Lafferty has also been seen in The Legend of Hell’s Gate: An American Conspiracy, Boys on the Run, Get Real, Once and Again, the TV show First Monday, Boston Public, and A Season on the Brink.

One Tree Hill is scheduled to return in its last 13 episodes on the CW this January 2012. Are you excited to see James Lafferty joining his long-time co-stars in One Tree Hill’s last hour on air?
