TV Series Creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage Go Sci-Fi on MISFITS October 23, 2011 Misfits, News The creative duo of Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the team behind Chuck, Gossip Girl and Hart of Dixie, have acquired the rights to the UK hit series Misfits. This potential new project is about “a group of young people who are sentenced to community service and become imbued with supernatural powers after an electrical storm”. The UK series is the number 1 program on UK’s E4 channel, earning about 1.5 million viewers each week. It has also become a hit here in the States thanks to Hulu offering the show’s first season this past summer, quickly ranking among the site’s most watched. There is no network attached to project, though.
