No Ordinary Family’s Jimmy Bennett To Appear in New TNT Series PERCEPTION

Actor Jimmy Bennett, who played J.J. on the short-lived ABC series No Ordinary Family, will make a two-episode guest appearance on the new TNT drama PERCEPTION.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, he will play Alex Willingham, a lonely, depressed teen whose father died in an apparent suicide. Alex soon finds himself in over his head in an attempt to cover up the murder of a U.S. Senator.

Perception stars Eric McCormack (of Will & Grace fame) as Dr. Daniel Pierce, an eccentric neuroscientist and university professor with a unique way of seeing the world. Rachael Leigh Cook (She’s All That) co-stars as an FBI agent — and Pierce’s former student — who calls on him to help the feds solve complex criminal cases.

Among Bennett’s other credits include playing a young James T. Kirk in the big screen remake of Star Trek as well as the films Evan Almighty and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.

Perception is set to debut on TNT sometime next year.
