Netflix Inks Deal To Air CW Programming

Netflix has inked a deal with both Warner Brothers Television and CBS Corporation to air CW’s scripted series, as well as upcoming future shows. The four-year deal will allow Netflix the opportunity to give their viewers the option to watch hit television shows from the green network’s full 2011 schedule.

Featured series include Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Ringer, Hart of Dixie with Rachel Bilson, The Secret Circle, Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, 90210, Supernatural, Nikita and One Tree Hill.

Older episodes of those shows will also be available to fans that want to watch, but may have missed previous seasons. The cluster of those hit series will make its way to Netflix on October 15th, with Supernatural and 90210 making their way into the que in January 2012.

Seemingly excited about the Netflix deal, CW’s President, Mark Pedowitz, has issued a statement about the new relationship. “This deal works across multiple levels for us. Not only will we be able to recruit new viewers for our shows through the powerful reach of Netflix, but it also makes The CW an even more attractive option to the creative community.”
