SO YOU THINK CAN DANCE Season 9 Announced

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE has been picked up for another year. Now confirmed to air its ninth episode on Fox, Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment and Fox Broadcasting, made the exciting annoucement surrounding the hit summer television series that has attracted a large fan base with its “cutting edge new styles like Krumping, Jookin’ and Popping and Locking”. Darnell also added, that “for the past eight seasons, So You Think You Can Dance has been a huge part of our success. We are excited to bring the series and an incredible set of new dancers back for another fantastic season.”

The show, created by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe, has managed to score ten Emmy Awards and twenty-four nominations. By way of 19 Entertainment, the hit series recently awarded winner Melanie Moore $250k, with the opportunity to cover the November issue of Dance Spirit magazine. Moore will also be a part of Gatorade’s G Series Print Campaign.
