Hop’s James Marsden Headed To 30 ROCK

Hop and X-Men star James Marsden is the latest star to be added to the new, upcoming seasons 30 ROCK, EW has shared. The series that stars Alec Baldwin (Will & Grace) and Tina Fey (Saturday Night Live) will be headed back to the tube midseason.

So far NBC is yet to give details on Marsden’s guest role, but it looks like EW has done some investigating of their own. According to the site, the hit comedy series was recently in the market for a thirty-six to forty year old (per a casting call), who could do his best to woo Tina Fey’s character. Here’s what 30 Rock was looking for – a “California-bred with liberal values and a youthful innocence. Easy-going but confident with a strong sense of self.”

James Marsden appears to be the perfect match. NBC has yet to release the exact date when Marsden will make his big debut on 30 Rock, as well as Will Arnett. The Up All Night actor was also recently announced to be returning to the show this year to reprise his role as Jack’s (Alec Baldwin) fantastic nemesis. Details should be on the way for fans awaiting the big dates for both stars.

In addition to his latest casting, Marsden has appeared over the years on the small screen in Modern Family as Barry, Robot Chicken, Allie McBeal, The Outer Limits, Second Noah, and Touched by an Angel. His movie credits include X-Men, 27 dresses, The Notebook, The Box, and Superman Returns.

30 Rock will return on NBC in the coming months.
