Jason Lee Will Be UP ALL NIGHT

My Name is Earl star Jason Lee has been cast in a guest role in UP ALL NIGHT, EW has revealed. The new fall freshman series, that stars Christina Applegate (Samantha Who?, King of the Hill) and Will Arnett (Running Wilde, 30 Rock) as two parents and their trials and tribulations of parenting their new daughter Amy, will welcome Lee in November when he takes on the role of Maya Rudolph’s (Saturday Night Live, City of Angels) love interest, Kevin.

His character is described as “a sweet, single dad who is clean cut and attractive.” This should be interesting since Rudolph’s Ava is a handful in series. In addition to his current weekly lead role as police detective Dwight Hendricks in TNT’s Memphis Beat, Jason Lee has appeared in Alvin and the Chipmunks and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, Raising Hope, Cop Out, American Dad, Monster House and Clerks II.

Up All Night airs on NBC Wednesdays at 8pm est. Will you be tuning in to see the former Earl star share the screen with Applegate and Arnett? How will his character Kevin deal with the overly self absorbed likes of Maya Rudolph’s alter ego? Let us know what you think below.
