Lost Star Sonya Walger Joins New USA Network Series COMMON LAW September 29, 2011 News, USA Actress Sonya Walger, who played Penny on the ABC juggernaut Lost and was one of the stars of the short-lived series FlashForward, has joined the cast of the new upcoming USA Network series COMMON LAW. This new series stars Warren Kole (Mental) and Michael Ealy (FlashForward) as homicide detectives whose constant quarreling gets them sent straight to couples therapy. Walger will play their shrink Dr. Emma Ryan, who is described by Entertainment Weekly as “a smart, attractive psychiatrist with a keen sense of humor, who graduated at the top of her class and started a practice in Beverly Hills but started to feel like a pill dispenser to her rich clientele. To fill the void, she started offering low-cost Alcoholics Anonymous and couples’ group therapy at the local community center where she applies her strong insight into the relationship between these two police partners”. Besides her work on Lost and FlashForward, Walger has appeared in the TV shows In Treatment and Tell Me You Love Me. Common Law starts production next month and will premiere on the USA Network sometime next year.
